Thread: Where do I start?

Hello,

This is my very first attempt, at entering the forum.

If I am not in the right area, I appologise, just kick me under the table, and point me in the right direction.

I have just aquired an old Singer sewing machine, and would like to "do up" the timber work. Not a total refurb, just bring it back to the point it would have been in, if it had been well looked after. The case is coming apart at the seems, so purchased some good old pearl glue for refixing. Can't wait to smell dead rats under the house again, memories from my school hood days.

The timber is a lovely honey colour, no dings, just scratched. Where do I start? Just purchased the Polisher's Handbook, and am still wading through it for inspiration. The equivalent of the family bible, only easier to read.
