    Default Thinning water-based WOP

    Hi folks,

Any suggestions for thinners that would work with minwax water-based wipe on poly?

    Cheers,

    Danny

If it's water based I would assume water would thin it.

Yeah, that's my only guess as well. Tempted to test using metho in case it'll make it dry faster, but I really have no idea what that'll do!

I make my own thinners for spraying water based acrylic with an air brush. 3/4 distilled water, 1/4 isopropyl alchohol and a few drops of glycerin. Try it on a small amount and see what happens.
Those were the droids I was looking for.

    Hi,
I have thinned Cabots water based with distilled water and sprayed okay. Takes a bit of mucking around to get the right consistency.
    Regards,
