Default What's everyone's favourite way to finish small items, like earrings?

I've got some scraps left over from a blaclwood ukulele, and I've used them to make some earrings for my relatoves. Only problem is that I'm not really sure what to finish them with or how best to hang/rest them whilst drying. Any tips?

When I make earrings (miniature bird houses and cupcakes), I make a tiny "eye bolt" of twisted wire - about 0.020". I drill a hole to receive the twisted shank, with epoxy bond. I attach a short piece of sacrificial wire through the eye, and hang the production batch on a long string stretched like a clothesline. Then spray with my finish of choice; usually polyurethane or lacquer.

    Cheers,
