My first Acoustic, finally finished
Hi all,
Sometime ago I started a thread when I first started to build this acoustic, my first acoustic. I started this over 12 months ago, made the body, then put it aside and got totally sidetracked on numerous other things.
So I thought I better get cracking and finish it off. Just to recap, the body top and bottom is Australian Red Cedar, Sides are Australian Blackwood, neck is rosewood, and fretboard and bridge is Hornbeam.
The intonation turned out pretty spot on, totally happy with that. The 6th string is about 2.4mm above the 12th fret. I am very happy with the profile of the neck, its within 1mm of the plans that I followed. I cant find a suitable dark timber to make a scratch plate, so at this stage, it doesn't have one.
