Hang ten
It looks like a really good wave, king of like the one I'd on my board waiting for . That's some impressing inlay work Peter.

Thanks fellas,
Kind words as always.
Hey Stu. Been awhile. I hear you're as busy as a one legged man in a but kicking contest.

Hi,
More on the fretboard
routing the taper with my trusty laser cut template
gluing the "invisible" binding on
gluing the fretboard
The fretboard radiused and fine sanded
Stu gave me the heads up on this arbor press for fret pressing. The only thing I am dissapointed in is waiting so long to get it
timming the frets
filing the bevel on the fret ends. I am hoping that one day the name on the file will come true (except the USA part)
The fretting done. Just needs leveling and sanding, which I do once the neck is set and the neck shaping finished
Cheers

Thank bob. Nice of you so say so.
And Andrew. Well I haven't seen your arbor press in action so to quote someone famous "if there is no picture then it didn't happen"

Hi,
More progress pics.
I have heat bent a back plate for the headstock with fiddleback blackwood which matches the front which turns up with the volute. Below is test fitting the tuners once the headstock has been routed
Below is routing the neck pocket angle of 2.7 degrees with my neck pocket jig. However you need to remember trigonometry to use it. Binding channel routed also. Sorry about the pic, it was taken on my phone
Cheers,
Peter

Cool inlay Peter. A bit off track but do any of you guys reckon those fret presses are any better than using a drill press to do the same job and if so what reasons make it better?
Jim
Someone please turn up the Tele!
