Purty! What is cooba? never heard of it. How does the sound compare to "standard" timbers such as blackwood/rosewood/mahogany?
The other day I described to my daughter how to find something in the garage by saying "It's right near my big saw". A few minutes later she came back to ask: "Do you mean the black one, the green one, or the blue one?".

Cooba , Acacia Salicina or Willow Wattle is a native willow and occurs throughout Oz cept for Tas and WA,
I asked for a warmer tone wood and was recommended the cooba over black-wood,
I am building another huon top dreadnaught but with black wood sides and back and will be very interested to hear the difference (if any)
Personally i would choose it over mahogany for an acoustic guitar,
I will report back when the blackwood dready is finished,

I would love to hear the difference between cooba and blackwood too. My first acoustic will be a OM fingerpicker, so looking for clarity and "sparkle" From what I hear, blackwood may be the pick for that. If cooba has warmth, then it may be a good pick for the acoustic bass I have planned for "whenever".

I'm currently making an OM using Huon (top) and Qld Maple (back and sides). I haven't used Huon before so also interested to see how it sounds.
