G'day Ray, I hope your (not so) new year is going well for you
There's no rods on this, instead I ran the neck through as a single piece. There's a screw under the tailstock to pull it in tight to the drum and another under the heel to hold that part firm. The fit in the mortise is tight, so everything holds itself together.
