    Default U-Beaut Wax on Fretboard

    Hello Luthery Guru's,

Is there any reason I can't use U-Beaut Traditional Wax on a rosewood fretboard?

    TIA

    Col

I imagine that a wax finish would wear off quite quickly and probably gunk your strings up along with it.

Finishes for harder wood fingerboards tend to be penetrating oils. Lemon oil seems to be a popular choice, it's what I use too

Ahhhh, I hadn't thought of the dreaded fretboard scum.

    Thanks, I'll need a rethink.
