No caps or chambering, Peter. This blackwood body is extremely lightweight, perfect for a solid body build, and worthy of a little colour too.
Both of these birdseye necks are geared towards simplicity and I'll carry this through with the bodies as well. (i.e. no binding or extras)
A definite case of less is more.

I agree. Sometimes with guitars less is more. That is a nifty way of glueing on fretboards. Killing two birds with one stone.... I guess.

Thanks Deano. here's a slight digression....................................
I showed this in it's build stages rather sporadically and never got around to showing the finished article. Completed back in Oct/Nov. 2008
Figured tassie myrtle top
Qld maple set neck with ironwood centre. scarf jointed also.
Qld maple chambered body.
Gotoh 510 wraparound bridge and gotoh tuners
Goldenage blues buckers w/ coil split.
recessed knobs and 5 way switch also.

cool, love the inlay at 12th fret. the figured tassie myrtle is a nice subtle grain effect, xlnt carve too buddy, can't wait till i'm holdin one of your axes mate.

That is a sweet build man. The finish you get on those builds of yours is inspirational.
I was just about to order on eof those gotoh 510 bridges. I was wondering your thoughts on it?

Excellant work Stu .That is one beautiful guitar.
Just wondering where do you get your transfers for the headstock . ?
I need to get some made up for the next guitar that i am building ,that should finished this weekend .
