Hey Floody at the risk of touching on a possibly sensitive point, Is that a little hole in the body I see just below the bottom knob?

That's one sweet guitar, I like those wood pickup covers. I'm considering making a set, was it difficult to do without splitting them during fabrication? It seems like if I make them the exact same size as the metal ones that they would be a bit fragile, did you increase their dimensions? Mike

I routed the holes while it was still a bit piece of maple. I then cut them to rough size on the bandsaw and then driled the holes. Then i took them to final size on the beltsander. I wouldnt anticipate any problems doing it that way

i pick up steel wool crap with a speaker magnet in a plastic baggie - a lot easier to get rid of it

i love that this guitar is a flat top - looking really good - congrats on a top build
