    Looking good bro. Im gonna get me a barrel jack for my next build (which i started getting parts for already lol) Neck pocket looks nice and snug!! Good work.

    Making some fast progress so far. Planned the finish yet?

    Neck looks good. Love the binding on the maple board.

    I got a maple board from stewmac..its already got a 12" radius on it but...I want 16!!

    barrel jacks are nice.... ill be using them from now on...

    the neck pocket is tight as.... its all glued in now and yea.... lol

    finish will be tung oil... i gotta test the tung oil i got
    hmm satin or gloss....

    i thought stewmac do 16inch radiused boards standard?
    i know mine are 16" radius

    to keep it at a lower cost i am trying to keep it to 16'' boards.. that will save me having to buy other radius blocks and fretpress inserts

    i will put pics up once they have loaded onn photobucket.....

    UPDATE!


    time to rout the pup cavities (i will deepen them later)
    copy my perspex template to mdf.... and off we go..
    (note the larger base i made for the router makes sure you dont fall in the rout lol)









    time to test out this radius block..



    not worth the 30bux i paid for it....


    alright.... time to work on ths heel

    oh hey, my ibanez wandered in on the photo shoot and was not happy!






    all thats left now is some sanding and then i will start to put the finish on it....

    in the meantime i gotta talk to some builders about applying finish to maple boards... never done one before

    Looking sweet andy! now that you've smoothed it all together looking really nice ! bloody quick work too! Gonna be some nice grain that comes up in that wood. gonna stain it or just clear?

    it was fast work haha... its only been a week and a few days.....

    i dont have any stain so it will just be clear

    Brilliant job man! Very neat on the neck heel shaping. You deserve a lollie.
    About the only thing i would concider doing is add aveneer to the headstock.
