Nice. I partically like the look of the neck. And I think that the look of oregon suits a tele very well. Iook forward to seeing it with some finish on it.

    Cheers,

    Peter

    Any further progress?

I was wondering what the jarrah does for the sound of the guitar. I've recently heard bad things about jarrah as a guitar wood. Please say it isn't so.

    Hey Tim,

I have only done a dry fit without any the electrics in place. I wont be ablt to tell what the tone is like until its close to finished.....I will post back once I get it running through the amp.

    Cheers

    OK guys....Build is now finished

    Here are some picks.

Sounds quite good even though it needs to be setup correctly. I am going to take it down to my friendly guitar man to have it setup right.

Anyways it has been a heaps of fun for my first build. Amy very happy with the finished result. Especially as it is even playable.

I have already started my neck project....a lap steel.

    Cheers,

    Well done Mr. Wippy.

What did you end up using as a finish ?
It looks like a satin finish which makes that figured neck look like a very comfy player.

    Thanks guys...

Yep...I used Wattle Estapol Satin from a spray can. Finised it off with EEE wax (Not on the neck though).

    Cheers

turned out very well. love how the neck came out.
the pickguard looks a bit dull from the photo's, is it well represented? you could possibly use some wet and dry and then some polish if you wanted it shiny looking.
