Billed as the First ever Australian CBG (Cigar Box Guitar) Festival it's called "Get Rooted"

Festival Organizers have posted a press release. https://word.office.live.com/wv/Word...S+RELEASE.docx

Sounds like a good day out, they are looking for Player, Builders and Lookers.

I got over for a look.

I got a chance to play one on Big Stan's CBGs.... a 4 string black Arnott's Biscuit tin.

I was sitting at the front of his stall playing & he joined in & Peter Murphy also joined in & a harmonica, the the Bass player from the Blue Skillet Rovers & then their Banjo player & all of them.

Here are a couple of photos.
    Cliff.

Yep it was a BLAST, everyone appeared to enjoy themselves and a great display of innovative and interesting instruments were played displayed and sold.
Speaking with the organizers after the event it's whispered there will be another one in 6 months. Even Bigger and Better.

So if you're into CBG or home made instruments i'll post again when I know more.

Fantastic to see you had a Good Time Cliff.

    Cheers
