Grant,
Very nice, The tru oil finish came up well - it great stuff.
I bet you had a a big smile on your face when the first note rang out. They always seem to sound better than anything else around -till you build the next one.

That is a very impressive effort by any standards. Being a first effort, makes it quite and achievement. I recon that would sound sweet. Got plans for a second?
Cheers,
Peter

Nice build. Pressies for yourself are all the better when they are well made.
You have a nice finish on it, but what is Zpoxy/true-oil? Is this the grain filler then just true-oil build up? Is that the reason for the good solid shine or is that just elbow grease?

thanks everyone.
peterbrown...I'm going to do another few OM's ...the next will be a Blackwood Back and sides, spruce face and maybe a slightly deeper body...I will try a few different appointments as well I think.
tim....the z-poxy was used as a pore filler/sealer ..first 2 coats of full strength , then sanded back to bare wood to fill the pores then a wash coat of 50/50 z-poxy/100%metho as a sealer. lightly sanded that back and then the tru-oil coats went over that.
