Hi guys, here's one for all you LP lovers. Four PDF's that you can print up on A4 and use the guide lines to tape it together and glue it on MDF for a quick template.

While we are at it, here are a couple more to go with that set.
I got a plan printing shop to print them full size for me.

One of these to the full size version of the 4 that Wal loaded all put together.
The other 3 are also very useful you want to build from scratch.

If anybody is seriously interested in making there own LP they should download this pack.
It is 3.8Gb & includes the 4 pdfs I posted above.
It has all the measurements, wiring diagrams & a stack of photos of the detail of an original(s).
It does not have the instructions, just the resources for a builder who already knows how.

    Default Fret Rocker Tool

Hi guys, here's a template for a fret rocker tool. I made mine out of some left over aluminium skirting boards, it's real easy to work with and can be cut on the band saw.

    cheers

    Default Printing templates

Hi guy I thought I'd post this as a bit of a how to as I've read so many posts from members of forums who have difficulty in printing 1-1 scale body templates. I have done this with INKSCAPE but I'm sure it could be achieved with other software.

If you clue stick two sheets of A4 together end to end and before printing you specify a paper size of 580mm length in the printer software settings, you can print half of each side of the template and then tape them together, and it's accurate to about .5 mm. Just move the part of the picture that you want to print, into the printable airier and hand feed the paper into your printer, see example.

    Any questions welcome,

    Wal

Looks like a bitsa to me. Fender neck, Bigsby tremolo, single coil pups with a flat Mandola body. Take a picture of the net and sketch it up. The parts are readily available.

    Yes I'm still lurking around

I thought the guys that like to make their own stuff or are just too tight to buy it may find this useful.
It is a full scale pdf. Print, stick and cut.

    Hi Wal,

I've just joined this site and was really surprised/pleased to see that you were allowing people to take a copy of your RS plans,however.... I seem to be having problems finding any link and wondered if you could help.

Very kind of you to be helping me and others to realise a dream to make an accurate version of a Red Special and I really appreciate it.

    many thanks in advance.

    Rob...

Yeah, unfortunately the forum software managed to 'lose' a lot of attachments a while ago, threads like this one have suffered because of it.
