Thread: My latest Guitar Build

Hi all, Just wanted to share my latest guitar with you. Love this one. I went for a totally blonde neck, using that hornbeam timber I have been talking about. Neck and fretboard, both from the hornbeam. Very hard, and very true grain. (and hard to sand also). On the body I used a top 10mm layer of Queensland Maple and then under it about 26 or 27mm of African Mahogany. Sorry I forgot to take a side on photo. Really happy with my routering on this one, the pickup cavity for the P90 Soapy fitted like a glove, not a whisker to spare. The P90 sounds good with the humbucker also. I asked the chap from Warman (Joe Warman) as to the compatability of a single coil P90 neck, with a humbucker bridge, and he said no problems.

On another thread here somewhere down below I previously asked this group about the frets that come with the last little bit of the stud and tang missing. I used them and I think my result looks good. I filled up the small holes/cavities that were left from the fret cut, on the side of the fretboard, with epoxy mixed in with very fine hornbeam sawdust, (powder form). Then attacked it with some good sanding after dry.
