Good Guitar Kits
I am wanting to buy a guitar kit, I have tried making a guitar, however its slightly tricky being my first time. Does anyone know where I can buy all the timber, plans and parts to build a guitar, preferably in one whole kit? I'm not really into those ones that you just paint and screw everything onto, I still want to make it from scratch, just want someone else's templates and parts list because I'm to lazy to do my own,,,, and the first time thing
Thanks,
David...

Hi David, have a look at guitaraust.com.au and luthierssupplies.com.au there you will find kits to build a guitar whether it be acoustic or electric. After that it is just a matter of deciding which one to build.

Hi David,
Depends on what you want to build, a quick google of "Guitar Kit" brought about 20 useful hits not counting the auction site. The main brand seems to be Saga."We must never become callous. Thanks Alby, I bought a set of plans from Luthiers Supplies, the plans come complete with parts list and to scale drawing and what not.. I searched many things Sebastiaan, that search seemed obvious but not one I had tried, I found many interesting kits, and yes, quiet a few from Saga, which seem to be pretty good, actually looking at one in particular at the moment.
Thanks for this guys, very helpful indeed

Hi David
I'd check out Australian Tonewoods. Tim's kits are very good.

Good Guitar Kits
I have a vested interest in this subject so I have to state I am the manager of DIYGUITARKIT.COM.AU
We have a range of guitar and bass kits from EASY to SKILLED. We also sell parts for making Cigar Box Guitars, Cigar Box Basses and Cigar Box Amplifiers.
Within that range you are sure to find something suited to the project you have in mind at relatively low cost.
You can also contact us through the website and we can advise you on any guitar building matter in relation to our products.
Our kits are imported from China and USA and you will find our kit quality as good or better than any you can find within the industry. You can also use kits as a starting point and modify, adapt and change them in any way you choose.
Like any project, a kit can be as challenging or as easy as you want it to be and the end result will reflect the time, care, skill and resources you apply to it.
