    Default Jamo Guitars: 24 custom

    Hey guys,
First post here! Lovely place! 'speshly the "WOOD WHISPERING WOMEN" section....hahahahahha!

So this is my second build, the first being a massively scary version of the Minarik Medusa(google it...I dare you)
Learnt heaps from that experience..... ie Never make anything that heavy ever again!

Anyway, this new build is along the lines of the PRS custom 24 but with a few changes here and there.

The body consists of: Silky oak top and a Honduran Mahogany
The neck is: Curly maple, wenge laminates and a Santos rosewood board

The bridge is a Schaller Hannes(love this thing!) and the pickups are being custom wound as we speak by Mick Brierley over in SA, They are the new BH-16(alnico 8) and a neck pickup he won't tell me the details of....but promises will be great! hahaha

Though I'm not responsibe for the neck, I left that part upto my mate Doug over at Soulmateguitars.com in the states.

I appologize for the massive number of pic's, I mostly reside on the Aussie Guitar Gear Heads forum and have been posting them all as progress is made there.
    PRS style Gat Build

And here's the facebook link for those with the dreaded FB
    Jamo Guitars | Facebook

One of the best things about this guitar has been the attention it's drawn! For instance I've been commissioned by Casey Dean of Melbourne's 'Engine Three Seven' to build a similar gat for his new project!!! Muahahah!!

    Welcome to the forum, Jamo.

More pics the better on the Ubeaut forum.

You've done great with that one, mate.
    Loved the carve progress pics.
Certainly more ergonomic and user friendly than the Medusa. I remember seeing you dragging that one around at last year's ampfest.

Bahhahaha... yeah "dragging" being the operative word!

Just doing the bridge drilling and final cavity work today. Slow going..... much less interesting than finish sanding

I've actually been stalking you both. You should close your curtains a bit tighter
at night, Jamo. I can still see most of what you get up to.
