Local Bending Iron Source?
Hi All,
I'm looking for a local source for an electric bending iron. Would any one know where I could get one, new or second hand. I have a few accoustic guitar projects planned for the future.
Cheers,
Peter.

Try Australian Luthiers Supplies or Gilet guitars

Hi Sebastiaan,
I know of another forum member that is looking for a bending iron.
Single Dad very little money now is there a way of building a cheap bending iron that works well, or is it not worth the trouble.?

I might try that. Cheap and cheerful. I was thinking about a 100W incandescent globe in an aluminium tube but since the phasing out of incandescents the gas torch looks promising.
Cheers,
Peter.

You wont get enough heat from a 100w globe for bending wood. Heat source needs to be LPG torch or an electric element.
I think home building an electric iron was covered in a previous thread. Do a search and you should find something. Try this thread for start:
