Hello to all, Hey Peter what a brilliant idea but ypu didn't stipulate if our first instrument needed to be a guitar so I only had two choices, the kerosene drum and paling bass that I made when I was about ten or the concert didgeridoo I made a few years back .
the didg slides and will play a full scale, great for band or concert.
Made from PVC with Teflon end seals and it's all assembled with plastic snap rings, NO glue<style type="text/css">p { margin-bottom: 0.25cm; line- 120%; }</style> Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. Abert_Einstein.

Here's mine, a 5 string bass. Alder body, rock maple neck with a bubinga fingerboard, custom made dual coil humbuckers and pickup covers (rock maple, black veneer, bubinga top) and truss rod, OBP-1 preamp. The thread on the final stages of the build is here or for further details and specs see mksh5.

Thanks guys.
Perry, I used Durobond Guitar Lacquer. Your first guitar is very nice, lot's of skill there from the outset - looks great.
