Here's a couple of head shells that I have just finished.
Blackwood and silver ash . The shape is a copy of the original

Now you have done it Mr K. Looks like you just put another project on my agenda. After seeing those inspiring works of joinery I have to now do something like it myself in the future. I do like that Retro style, I might steal it but add some shiny metal in there some place....maybe.

Some very nice work in here! Loving the amp heads MrK!!
I've gotten as far as having my new woodworking books arrive (early Xmas pressie) and getting a compound mitre saw. Next step is making myself a work bench.

nice looking head shells Mr. K.
They look remarkably similar to these ...was this the inspiration .? or is the Reynolds a copy of something else?

Thanks for all the kind words all .As far as I know Peter Renolds cabs are his own design and he builds them himself .These cabs are copies and with good reason . I think I'd like to keep the client anonymous

Been doing a ~100w amp (amps are fun because there is less time from start to getting to be able to use them properly).
the amp has 2 6bl8 tubes in the preamp, a marshall style tone stack with a mid shift pot which varies the mid band frequency from ~250hz to 1000hz. the preamp is simple otherwise, as i plan to use it for bass or for guitar with pedals. the output will run 4 el34's or 6l6's. here are some pics.
the preamp is wired, with some stray wires that need to be connected to other sections of the amp (which arent in yet). should be testing it tomorrow.
will post more info when im not in a rush.
