Hi and thanks Gentlemen, As of yesterday, now 11 coats of the Tru Oil Finish. That's it. Got it hanging up in the spare bedroom wardrobe at present, out all day today. Give it a good chance for the oil to firm. And then tomorrow start putting it all together. I have all the accessories sitting around waiting.
Fingers crossed I can get the action perfect. More photos in a few days.

Hey Gentlemen,
Finally finished this guitar, did the final set up this afternoon. Just recapping, no neck to body angle at all. Totally flat. From my first inspection I was pretty happy with the action, no fret buzz, everything seemed fine. I previously spent a fair bit of time with the frets, with the usual rocker, diamond emery board and recrowning tool.
Just filed the nut slots down a smidgeon, lowered the saddle, adjusted the intonation, all perfect, couldn't be happier with it. Distance on 6th E string top of 12th fret to bottom of string a smidgeon over 2mm. 1st E string about 1.3 to 1.4mm, perfect.
Had I would have messed about with a neck/body angle, bigggg strife I woulda been in.
11 coats of Tru Oil come up very nice indeed. I was also very impressed with the Wilkinson tuning keys, never seen them like this before. There is a thumb screw at the bottom of the key, loosen it and thread your string through the hole, tighten it again and it locks the string in place, remarkable.
And no plans at all, everything was straight outa my head.

Hi and thanks Richard, I think if you go back to the start of this thread, you will see a couple of WIP pics. Not sure what you meant about the bird. When I applied the gun oil I wore surgical gloves as it can be handled whilst applying it. Then I hung the guitar up after each coat
