Default Stave Drum Shells - Router Bits

I have looked at a lot of jigs for routing stave drum shells once they are made .
I will be making a jig myself out of an old industrial paint mixer with a variable speed motor i scored for $1 .
As i am new to routing i need to know what the name of the router bits are for routing inside and outside of the shell .
I'm guessing the inside one would need to be slightly rounded ?
None of the posts i can find on the web seem to mention what bits are used .
    Cheers,
    Greg

Plenty of stuff on the internet......2 minutes on Google and I came up with this. Check out the comments for discussion of the cutter being used.

    Thanks for your time .
I actually stumbled across that video a few days ago .
I thought a straight bit would take chunks out because of the curve on the inside .
    Guess i was wrong .

    Hi Aus Bucket

No problem using a straight bit.
I have made several drums using home made jigs similar to the one in video posted by kiwigeo.
Mine had metal rails instead of rods through the router base.

Just take very light cuts and everything will be fine.

Check this site for plenty of good information.
