now that i think about it, i believe i ahve gotten a few things from them, just tools and a bit of mother of pearl, so its not something that can be so easily screwed up. im waiting for the images.

No you wouldn't Bob. Common sense would prevail when your temper settled down.
Kiwi has done the right thing, he has shown he is the bigger man. I hope you lot do get together and do a great bessey clamp order for your tone wood, then maybe some good will come of this without causing stress, frustration and angst.Boring signature time again!

I think it is sad that it has taken all this to get an outcome
As a result of this situation I and possibly others on this forum will still be wary of dealing with them

thats good, but as dayvo said, its sad that it had to come this far before they would realise this would effect their buisness for alot more than 1 customer.
i was quite disapointed as i have been looking at possibly getting some of their australian hardwood fretboards (mulga or bouree) for some future builds. not sure which builds, but they will come.

i would say that the outcome from this issue is very positive . when all is said and done only 48 hours have elapsed between the initial contact and the offer of a resolution. This is a strong indication that customer satisfaction is a high priority for them. I personally wont hesitate buying again.

hence the "respectfully suggest" rather than something weightier
cheers

I can only say I have had good dealings with ALS....I ordered AAA Rosewood B&S which they'd run out of and i got upgraded to master grade at no extra charge....I have been more than happy with the quality of the timber grades I have purchased from them....It was better grade than i thought would arrive....prompt ,well packed service.
I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again
I hate hearing about fellow builders not getting the deal they thought they we're buying into.......but I thought for the positive side of this thread I'd post my experience .
I'm glad its been resolved because I was surprised at the response.
