Tasmanian Tonewoods
I would like to ask a favour of a few forum members.
As I broke a couple of ribs last Saturday falling off a stack of timber, bloody timber.
Well this has giving me some time to work on my updated website with shopping cart Etc Tonewood information chart, density and sound volocity chart all on the one page.
At the moment I only have veneers listed on the site but over the coming weeks all of my products will be listed, Acoustic sets, body blanks, drop tops, headstock, neck woods Etc, Etc, please check the site and let me know if you can see any problems.
As for drop tops body blanks, Acoustic sets there is mountains in stock, I just can not lift heavy timber at the moment.
Thanks, Cheers Bob.

Please note I am receiving a few inquires from forum members through private P.M in the forum, what a lot of forum members do not know is that the bannner at the top of the page of the musical instrument forum Tasmanian Tonewoods if clicked on takes you straight to my website maybe it would be a good idea if moderators took note of this and had underneath the banner click on the banner to visit us and this is just not for my sake but for other sponsors who also have banners in different sections of this forum.
Also please note that I have been out of action for just over 6 weeks due to broken ribs but now slowly catching up on orders, so to any members waiting on orders please be patient.

Tasmanian Blackwood is a close cousin of Koa from Hawaii but blackwood is a denser wood and a much better tone wood that is not just my thoughts but also comments from customers that have used Koa and then tried Blackwood.
Photos of blackwood attached plus King Billy soundboard.

Tasmanian Tonewoods
Today I was up at my shop packing up an order of mixed species of drop tops for a custom builder in the U.S.A. and two of the drop tops in blackhearted sassafras, I remembered the log that they came from salvaged from the north west of Tasmania in february 2006, go's to show how long I some times wait before the stock leaves me.
Photos attached 2 of the drop tops and photo of the log that they came from, lot more drop tops recovered and acoustic sets than just these two.
Cheers, Bob
