    Default Timber Suggestions

Hi, i'm going to be making a guitar and i am after suggestion for what i should make the guitar out of, i was thinking maple for the body and mahogany for the neck, and ideas?

Also, i plan on router the neck and body out to templates that ive already made, so i also need something that wont chip to much when i router across the grain.

    Cheers,
    David...

+1 on that - maple body will be very heavy but itt does make fine necks
mahogany is one of the best body woods imho - you need to pick a light resonant board
