    Well, whatever cooks your goose I suppose.

    Personally I think they look gross and I can't imagine why anyone would want one, let alone make one. I think woodcarving if done tastefully is great ... and there's no doubt the guy is a good carver ... but that's over the top, like putting flokati rugs on the OUTSIDE of your car as well as the inside.

    Sorry Bob, Im very busy with work at the moment and in the workshop Ive got two classicals and a lute under construction. The lute alone is going to take the next 12 months to get anyway near finished. I do have a pile of Tassie BW on the shelf but it wont get used for a while.

    Will let you know when I get around to using the stuff.

    I know of a documentry being filmed right now about an instrument being built with SOME Tassie wood in it. Tasmanian Blackwood, Ebony, Flame and Quilt maple.

    Plain blackwood, and its the back. Quilt maple top. Flame maple neck. Ebony fretboard with a stone and birdseye maple inlay. They are documenting every step, including the trip to Vegas to deliver it to it's owner.
