So you put the link up purely because you're a satisfied customer of Tasmanian Tonewoods. Thats all fine and dandy then.

Oh boy.....have I joined a woodwork forum or a secret society where everyone is suspected of being a spy or secret agent? Talk about feeling welcome. I've also got links to other tonewood sites, but wait...maybe I own them as well....!!! And I have several different names like, Paul and Greg and Stewart.........this is funny as hell, are you guy's serious? Grow up.

Hey man post some pictures of your work. I know Bob sells terrific timber. He's been on this forum for years.
I didnt know you had a MySpace page Bob,"We must never become callous. When we experience the conflicts ever more deeply we are living in truth. The quiet conscience is an invention of the devil." - Albert Schweizer

You'll have to excuse me but Im used to new forumites easing into the forum with an introduction and showing off a bit of their work. When a forumite's second posting to a forum consists of nothing but a link to a commercial site and a statement that its updated two to three times a week it sort of reads like a vanilla flavoured spruke. I was sort of expecting a few lines on what you think of Bobs site and your experiences dealing with him. If youve got links to other tonewood sites that youve had good dealings with then how about sticking them all up...Ray (Old Picker) is running a list of suppliers and Im sure hed be glad to add same to the list for all to see.
Secret society...spys and secret agents? I sign my posts with my real name and everyone in here knows who I am so no secrets here.

Hi Martin, I didn't realise there was a particular protocal to follow when signing on as a new member. The first thing I offered were free scale plans to anyone who wants them, or was that to forward as well? I've seen a list of links here and I thought as the one I posted wasn't on the list it was appropriate to post as I thought it may be new info. You are telling me to write of my experiences dealing with Bob, thats assuming I have any isn't it? As for posting a real name, I could put anything here I like, is it real? What about privacy? Is it to be assumed that if a person doesn't use their real name they are a fraud, a scammer, or up to no good?
I get the feeling I'm not welcome here, I would hate to think that all newbies are treated by senior forum members the way I have. I don't have to justify anything to anyone, nor do you or anyone else here or anywhere else for that matter. As I stated in my first post, "it looks like I've found a new home.." after this though I wonder. It seems from my very short time here that it's more about school yard politics than anything else. I'm not wasting anymore of my time having an intellectual battle of wits with an un-armed person. I'm interested in learning, clearly I've come to the wrong place, and for helping promote the forum in such a great light, well done, your a legend.

Hey, Thanks Tankstand, but I've already sent an email requesting my account be deleted or how ever it works, I'm just not interested in politics, arguements, and silly notions. I'll keep looking on here as a "guest" like I have been for the last 6 months, that'll do me.
All the best to you.

Chill out 69 guitars, Bob or Rick what ever your name is, do not not leave the group.
As Tankstand says this is one great group to be in, so much so that I have a link to it on my main website, there is some really nice guys and girls in the group that go out of there way to help others with information but we all have different views so take no notice of Martin he is only young and has an inferiority complex.
Cheers Bob, Rick or what ever you want to call me just don't call me late for Dinner.

Im sorry you feel you have to cancel your membership and I offer apologies for any offence caused by my posts. I dont speak for all others in here by any means so please dont treat my opinions and views as those of everyone in here. Call me a paranoid old fart but I moderate on a couple of other forums and am often dealing with people who use same forums as free advertising space for their businesses. A posted link to a business is useful but a few comments about your experiences with same business are a whole lot more useful.
