Tool boxes
The shed it full. Ive got so many projects going on, i dont know if im coming or going! Machinery everywhere, working on a car resto along with a couple of amp builds and ongoing house reno. My 7x7 shed is so full im at the stage where im starting to trip over stuff.
Im starting to accumulate a lot of guitar building tools and hardware in the house as well as the shed.
I need something thats going to keep all my tools together. Im stating to loose them and its doing my head in racing back an forward. I do keep the bulk of the stuff in lockers but i need something portable.
What do some of you use?

I have bought old tool boxes, some from e bay, the old wooden type that carpenters , cabinet makers or pattern makers used, made for themselves , I have five of them and they stack ,but it's a two man job if I want to get in to the bottom one.
The best thing I did was build a four door cabinet, copied from a bookcase , about 2.4 M tall x 900 wide ,it has shelves from top to bottom about 250 mm apart, it holds a lot of stuff and all accessible .
It's not portable like the boxes, but high with shelves,on wheels might be the way, just to roll around the shed.
If I am going out with tools, I have a long carry box with a handle, about 1 M long x 300 wide x 350 deep the ends are probably 550 high with a hole 30mm that takes the handle. I'm guessing these dimensions, the box is at work
It's a traditional looking thing, and they are easy and quick to make.

I have one similar to the last one you mentioned, i made it when i was doing fencing many moons ago. It was super heavy when loaded up, thought about tossing it a few times. I think im going to have to pull out all the main stuff i want to put in it and go from there.

Since, ive come across some interesting designs.
So definitely a wall cabinet and definitely a draw box. Im just not going to get too tec with it, dont have the time really.
Thanks for those links Ashley. A wall cabinet design came to mind immediately upon looking at it. Im going to start getting some wood together. Theres an old Maple wardrobe at work collecting dust under the building that will be perfect for what i need. There is no way i have time at home, so if i can just find a bit of time at work
