Shane, apart from all the good info you may get here, there are a few books that are pretty good (depending on what style of gtr),
but I think thesedays, by far the best resource available to the public, is the good ol' University of Youtube.
If you were looking at electric gtrs, then Highline guitars , Fletcher custom gtrs, crimson custom gtrs or Will's easy guitar (and many more) aew all excellent youtube pages for clear, well explained and filmed demonstrations of techniques etc . . . Its like an apprenticeship in your lounge chair. . . . As always , you will find people that love the sound of their own voice , take 5 mins to get going and dont really know their subject, but I'm sure you will easily spot those types . . also Stewart Macdonald (Stew mac) have a tremendous website, store and Youtube tutorial library of ways to utilise their tools and jigs etc on the job , and just general tuition as well . . they sell many very handy tools for lutheire , and quite a few that do make the job a little easier, but they arent cheap. . But well worth investigating, as many of these tools and jigs could be made or rigged by you , once you see what's required. . . And feel free to shoot me a message if I can help in anyway . . Thank you for all your kind comments gents. On a recent trip, my son down in Sydney picked out which of those two he wanted and was totally happy with it. On the return part of my trip I met a bloke in Armidale (via Gumtree) who collected guitars. He had some really nice old fenders etc, worth 6 or 7 grand. He wanted to buy my other one, as I still had it in the car. But its not for sale.

I wont be making any more guitars, ten is enough. Of the ten, I made just the one acoustic and the link that woodPixel put up, a book advertised on that particular site by Jonathan Kinkead is the book I followed. Excellent book. It didn't show everything 100% clear but was still very good.

I've now tossed out all my moulds, templates, jigs, bits and pieces that I had made, mainly just to free up room in my shed. The only jig that I kept allows me to cut the fret slots on a fret board to a LP scale length, 100% accurate, without measuring anything. I sold about 15 slotted fretboards on Ebay and might slice up some more one day and sell those also.
