with 4 days or so to go it has reached $152 and still climbing, is this worth it or just ebay gone mad

Hi Greg, I found the guitar on eBay,
I think your right about it being worth $10 but I'm no expert on them, I would have thought it could go for between $300 to $ 350 in average / good condition but after reading what the guy says it sounds like it needs more work than it's worth, here is the link to it

I'd be willing to pay a bit more for this instrument as it wouldnt be too difficult for me to get it into working order. How much would I be willing to pay for it? No more than $150 tops.

to me it seems like a lot of work New tuners and any possible cracks? to fix
now this seems better value for money
it would probably cost me a divorce though if i got it

The bowed neck could be a real big problem with it.
What I think is interesting about it is the amount of wear to the fret board ,that thing has had a good time and it's all the way up the neck too.
I got a FG 200 here that I got off eBay not a red label though ,
Republic of China made in Taiwan
I think the Red label ones are made in Japan ? I'm not sure of that though but they are always advertised as being more desirable,
they will all be laminated tops back and sides though
If you keep looking you will see more of them turn up on eBay

Who knows.
People pay for guitars that have been "relic'd".
People pay for old guitars that were awful when they were new.
I've got a plexi marshall major which is and was always an unreliable pig awful amp. Last week one sold for $2900 in the US and this week another one for $2000 and neither were plexi's.
People pay good money for old pommy bikes. I did my apprentiship on them and have never owned one, tell you anything ?
Ultimately stuff is worth what someone will pay, and lets face it in the scheme of things $150 isn't much money...
Me ? I bought a 95 american std strat lefty for $600 2 weeks ago.

With these type of thingos, the price is what someone is willing to pay,
I bought a vintage yamaha 7 string acoustic off ebay, paid 340 or something,
sh8t condition, cracks, bowed neck, fretboard was all over the shop, bridge had been reglued 100 times, braces fallen off, braces falling off,
its in pieces in the workshop waiting to be rebuilt, made up a new fretboard and bridge, thinner to compensate for the huge belly haha,
but hell, i know i will never see one of these things again, so why not spend some cash.
As for relicd, i went to some rich blokes house the other night, and played his relicd strat, played like a piece of sh8t. he wasnt impressed with my comments

LOL reminds of a visit to a bloke who makes violins and cellos. he makes half decent instruments and I told him so. He then pulled out a cheap #### Chinese made guitar and told me he wasn't thinking of distributing the instruments in Australia. The intonation on the guitar was so bad I couldnt tune the thing and the action was so high you could drive a car under the strings. I told him his cellos and violins were great but the guitar was a piece of sh*t. He hasn't talked to me since.
