really nice:2tsup::2tsup::2tsup:. I'll have to convice SWMBO about cutting ours down but am not sure I can get one 300mm or make it as nice as that.
Well done
Mick
also, you will have to say how you did the colouring/texturing
cheers
Mick
Nice looking bowl. The texturing and flameing(?) certainly add to it.

:2tsup:Nice Bowl, the texturing looks good and its great that youve done the base
a lot of bowls dont have that.
great Bowl, and I also am impressed with the finish effect you've achieved on the foot.
Very nice, I like it! well done
Absolutely beautiful. As mentioned above, some information on how you did the fine detail would be great.
Really beautiful.

Nice looking bowl smiife, excellent finish and you achieved a good affect with your texturing and off centre turning.....suggest that you experiment with a bit more random approach to the texturing say using two different size burs (i.e. try and avoid straight lines)....:D
hi guys,
thanks for your comments very much appreciated
firstly the texturing was done with small burr bit in my dremel
and the colouring was just acrylic paint applied with a brush
firstly black, alowed to dry then painted with gold acylic and rubbed
off before it dried,i did have to return it to the lathe to tidy up the edge
and also vacumn chucked it to remove the bottom and repeat the
texturing and colouring the same as the top
kcam thanks for the advice i can see what you mean, the bottom
is a bit ''in line''isn't it
i also tried spirit stain before the paint and splashed it ever where
and ruined another bowl i attempted before this one,any tips on ''how to''
would be great
