I'd say yes. I have the B&D one (about $90) and when you turn it on, red markers appear to the left and right for at least 10m and swing about a bit until level.

I found that turning the external cold water tap...
I found that turning the external cold water tap into the house off also stopped hot water comming out of the main tank.
Quite easy to try - turn main supply off and run the cold tap for 10-15... -

I did notice when installing my guard support...
I did notice when installing my guard support that it was not at 90deg to the main bench when locked.
A bit of gentle flexing helped this.

Well, it's finally finished! I used Wattyl stain & varnish (after they said it was non-toxic after a 2-3 week cure period) in Teak colour to match the rest of the house.
