My original lathe was a Jepson and I too had the problem.

I removed the switch and took it to my local machine shop and they had a "real" switch that I replaced myself (is that legal :? :no:).

T'was my first such event and enjoyed it very much. Learnt a lot, met new people, met old people, got a couple of mags to read, and an extremely well hosted event by groggy.
