Took around 4 solid days on each box + a bit of experimenting with the dove tailing jig beforehand. -

This was the second cutlery box I made for my married girls.
They are 520mm X 320mm

Without giving to much away, photos show how I spaced the timber on the dovetail unit to have width for insert of second piece.

Hi Steve,
1. Best advice I can give on doing a design is to do it separate and insert later forget free hand routing. Check my box on "Cutlery box" under Bilgola.
2.Get a good quality router bit.... -

First box Euro Beach and American Walnut.
Dovetails done with simple Carba-tec blind dovetail unit and spacers.
