Was using a nova chuck and cole jaws which i somehow did not tighten up enough therefor as Uncle Al stated a tour of the shed by the vase took place, don't quite understand the " tenon " bit, only...

This one came off the chuck, hit the lathe bed, did a big woobly, spun in around in the air, landed on the concrete floor and ended up with quite few bruises and chips taken out all over the place....

They are a very good lathe, have had mine for 14 years, at a minimum it is worth what you paid it.

The size of that hole, 3 sand and 1 cement.

Great finishing, nice work.

Termed a lidded vessel, a bit to big for that i think but name it what you want to. Timbers i am not sure of. Ht 300 - W 270.

This vase is based on the bowls from a board principal, a fair bit of work went into it but i think the end result was worth it even if i had to use some of those "oh so naughty words "

Hi Hadenfast, Red Cedar and Rosealder " don't have a great knowledge of timbers, rosealder is what i was told it is " Use Selleys Aquadhere exterior PVA glue.
