I was in a very similar position to you a few days ago, looking at the exact same saws and a similar sherwood saw from timbecon.
The Harvey saw had some good reviews and was made sense price wise... -

I'd want it to be a matt/very close to wood look. Looks like oil is the way to go. I dont mind the yearly maintanance on it.
