I would start calling commercial fridgys they would probably be more receptive, I know we used to be able to get help from the guys who serviced the cassette systems in...

I assume DOA is a different story ? ......

When I installed my split system it cost $88 to have a fridgy come out, vac the system, check for leaks and sign my warranty card.

I am sure you can find a similar bloke to come...

I have had fantastic work done by GDE tree services - there were a cool $1000 cheaper than the 20 quotes I got for removing the 30m hoop pine from our yard, since had them out a few times to grind...

I was going to get the same thing but then I read you should unwind it all the way when you used it. That made it seem like a waste of time.

Instead I have a 25m cord that I keep it well managed...

I reckon you are right - from what I have read on the audio sites, the best I can hope for is to cut down on the echo the floor produces.

My main concerns are heat loss during the winter...

Occasionally I find a sidchrome spanner for a few $$ - other than that - I have never seen a great collection of f**Ked tools in my life.

I wouldn't give you $1 for them.

We have pulled up all our carpets and polished the floors. The results are great there are only two or three downsides.

1. The floor is cold
2. The floor has changed the acoustics...

any details on the sub, I have a 15" one sitting here and want to do the exact same thing - What did you use as a power amp for it ?

Trade tools sell a framer for $150 which I believe is a better quality bit of gear than the GMC, had a look at both - bought the Trade tools one

Yeah they replace the meter with the a new one that will use meter the 3 phases. It costs no more - you pay for you usage at the same rate as the single phase service - when you use the 3 phase...

Make sure you tell you energy authority that you want it for air con. In Bris if you do that energex do the pole connection and few 3 phase lead in for free - about a $500 saving.

That is excatly what I had in mind ...... I just needed confirmation that it would indeed save me time and back pain digging holes, they look great and for $400, really that is not all that much...

So can anyone say if they are good at digging post holes?

I would price up both options and see - there are various usage/estimating calcuators available on the boral website - check it out and compare the price, treated pine was not a cheap as I thought it...

Oh and the heathstone are a true vertical stacker and are ok to 800mm without engineering and weigh 25kg which is bloody heavy.

Don't know how you would go about using those 50kg ones I am flat...
