There were 2 models 3612 and the 3612C which was the variable speed one.
Even if he has the RP1800 it says it's 1/2" 1850 watts and it doesn't have a variable speed model. -

Used a citrius bath first. (Very weak one) The onto the wet and dry. Being very careful to skirt around the etch.
Anyway got abot 50-60% of the etch visible.

If I have to coat timber with a clear coat I generally use shellac as a sealer.
Sometimes put a few coats on with a light sand (1200 grit) in between.

I didn't mean to cut it to the top of the leg....
I didn't mean to cut it to the top of the leg. Just stuffed up in setting the jig. To cut a taper on a table saw you start at the bottom of the leg and cut to the top leaving a parallel at the top.
