I'm looking for 100% IMS to dilute some Ubeaut Hard Shellac. 95% is standard at Bunnings etc. Very affordable.

Definitely not acceptable. Even if you doubled from the 12th fret to set your scale length correctly, the frets won't be accurate. Not fit for purpose under Australian consumer law!

I had a go at the MOP headstock logo over weekend and stuffed it up. Logo too fine for me and my tools.

According to my plans and timber blanks, the edge thickness of my guitar will only be 25mm. 45 total thickness less 10mm per side of arching.

Thinking of using cubic zirconias to create a southern cross. Anybody know how brilliant cut CZs look embedded in dark timber? Does it work? Maybe white or silver lining in mounting hole?

Thanks for that. As the run doesn't rise much above your knees, even the kids will be able to drag it around. The box assembly is 15mm marine ply. The rest, apart from the skids is 50mm timber.
