But why is it called the Kempee Combination JOINTER rather than pipe cutter. Different pipe diameters would be taken care of by the fact that one of the wheels can travel up and down with the screw...

My father bought this tool years ago at a clearing sale. It looks like a pipe cutter but most of the interchangeable wheels are not sharp but rounded.
