I've recently purchased a refurbished 2nd hand Carbatec 14" bandsaw. It has a 6 mm, 6 tpi blade fitted.

Bearings are all nice, tracking is fine. I can't see any back and forth motion...

I know. I just wanted to add the reasoning behind why brick constructions are staggered.

You stagger bricks because the mortar/brick joint is weaker than the brick itself. The idea being that any crack going up through either brick or mortar will eventually hit mortar or brick and stop....

Not that I actually have this dilemma; it's just something that came to mind last night...
