got its big brother the 7901, runs great and cuts very well, pulls 30 non skip chain in hardwood no problem. even free handed a few slabs with it

nothing wrong with a hitachi nr90ad, one of teh lightest most powerful framers on the market. had mine 3 years now using daily and hasnt missed a beat

im only a backyard hack but love those for thin stuff, seem to freeze quicker making for less blowthrough

exactly right about us chippies, why would i trash a good saw every month or 2 when i can get throw aways for under $10 each

for $1200 you cant go past a makita dcs7901. 79cc avalible with either a 20 or 24 inch bar, i paid $1130 for mine with the 20" from my local total tools.

if you need a saw this weekend but cant afford a makita/husky/stihl yet why not hire a saw for the weekend.

bars and chains can be got here but you will pay at least double what it would cost to order it from the states including shipping

1200 should comfortably get you a makita dcs7901, much better saw than either the ms311 or 391, i brought one about 6 months ago and couldnt be happier.

if the wire gets so hot that it melts the solder you have much bigger problems. the plastic insulation on the wires will melt long before a soldered joint will

when im doing skirts etc i wear a pair of motorcross knee/shin guards under my work pants, there comfortable and stay put well and are on course to last a very long time as they have a hard plastic...

the way i do decks came from my boss being fussy, what i do is work out my gaps usually 3-4 mm. then i take 2 boards commonly 90mm, so 2 board and 2 gaps would be 186mm or 188 mm depending on 3 or 4...
