I had exactly the same problem with a GMC router...
I had exactly the same problem with a GMC router I bought. It lasted 2 small jobs before it became useless and wouldn't hold the bits securely anymore. FWIW

I didn't think you could get a router to 67.5deg....
I didn't think you could get a router to 67.5deg. I only thought you could get like the tilt bases on trimmers which get you to 45deg??????
