I got mine done in Brunswick...house was covered in it. I used Reads Waste to do it which was a reasonable price. My weatherboards were in good condition underneath mostly.

Dont go for Mr Dodgy El Cheapo. I got about 6 quotes and the ones who didnt come across as dodgy were roughly the same price. It was like they were colluding.

Looking to build a deck and looking for ideas on what materials to use.

Eg - do I go for concrete stumps or stirrups.
Do I use say F17 for the bearers etc.

Is it mandatory to waterproof a bathroom. My builder tells me that is only required for the upstairs bathroom not he bathroom downstairs (which is being renovated).

I have been told by a few builders now that a good estimate is simply $250-$260 per sq metre.

Over $400 is damn expensive but I guess it uses steel.

In the end I went for 132mm Vic Ash. It will need to be nailed in (exposed not hidden) because of the width of the boards. Should come up alright hopefully :).

Looks like the process of giving them a light spray stacking them correctly and applying heavy weight to the stack did the trick. All the weatherboards are up and there...

Can someone gibe me a rough idea about the cost for someone to clad a 2 house walls totalling 55 square metres (incl labour and materials).

Is there a difference between a weatherboard that has been pre-primed to one that has a preservative on it or has been treated?
