I think it is certainly commendable. People with disabilities doing stuff like this, it is simply an inspiration to everyone. Maybe he does want to - and I see no problems with it!

Yeah, its nice - but you are right - its a little impractical because the crossbar attaching the legs might make it difficult to actually play chess on this chess table :)
