Dean i wonder if you need to raise the upper frequency limit( not the start stop freq) parameter. I have several vfd s some huanyang and 10 k pot works fine somewhere Ive filed my documentation...

id scrap all of the switching
check to see if the original 3 phase motor can be reconfigured to delta ( usually inside the connection box to motor)

i have converted several lathes and mills to work off vfd its not too hard ( once you work out how to set the parameters) just follow the circuit diag that comes with your vfd for switch...

i reckon a south bend or maybe early model hercus but usually hercus has a name caste in the bed

went to look at a pallas tool grinder today which was ok for a hobby type situation but the guy took me to have a look at another "thing" he thought was some sort of tool grinder guess...

yep go to a motor rewinder take a 100 dollars and it should get you a motor with delta winding connections and probably new bearings

i recently purchased a dglmh hercus ( geared head model) from a tafe college thats how they removed chucks, each machine had piece of 19mm square bar about half a meter long to remove...

i have 3 vfd's so far no troubles left in the open but i reckon it will only be a matter of time before they need de- dusting . eg have a look in side a computer it seems to attract very fine dust....
