There's a stand mounted Vl100 for sale at $750. Just wondering if this is a good machine and if the price is reasonable?

One thing to take into account before deciding on price is that a VL100 is by far the most robust and HQ machine in that class on the market and will take anything a turner is likely to put on a lathe of that capacity. Other lathes in that class can be purchased new for less & some with EVS for a little more $$'s. The VL150BM is now a little over $1050 new (no motor). The new VL150SM, which still requires a bench or stand to reach working height, is about $2300 & is by far the best lathe in that category.

Having said that I would feel comfortable paying that price for a later model belt change, stand mounted Vl100 in VGC and lightly used. Some accessories with it may also make it sweeter. 1/2 hp EVS can be retrofitted later for about $300 if you want EVS.

    George a couple of questions.

Is it the standard 6 speed or is it EVS

If EVS then worth the price plus as it is second hand you may get more extras with it.
