Wow!
I love the bat wing, it's just awesome, and I'm seeing a sort of natural verses man-made juxtaposition going on (Is that along the lines of what you were going for, or am I completely off the mark?)
I'm not sure if you were looking for c and c (and I certainly don't feel qualified to give comments and criticism on work of your calibre) but there is something about the shape of the plane wing the doesn't seem to work with the organic shape of the bat wing (yes, I know that's incredibly vague but I can't really offer any useful alternatives, sorry)
I would love to see this in person!!!
Thanks
Josh

thanks for the critique Spirit and Josh, (always much appreciated)
yes, the intention was to get as much contrast between the two elements as I could,
(I think I got that) then somehow tie them together as a single piece (I got no idea yet)
I'll post some more pics as it develops

WOW!! underfoot, that is astounding, I absolutely love it. Just my cup of tea, as a Biol. science dropout, an ex-aircraft mech and a sculptor. An absolute inspiration. I'm afraid I can't be more objective and critical, because I like everything about it! How's that for fawning!!?
Keep up the wonderful work...Andy Mac

Undie, you never fail to amaze and surprise. That is splendid work.
You are hereby invited to decorate my humble abode, just so it won't look so humble.

Ideas are to be used or equally not, they are only Ideas
Now if the alu came down to be parts of the membrane of the wing ,that may look cool

Nice work from what I've seen so far! I'm curious to see where you go with this.
I can't help but wonder what the two pieces would look like juxtaposed into the same space, so that elements of the skeleton would emerge from inside the airfoil.
Not that I'm suggesting you do this with what you've already made... It'd be a crying shame to lose so much of the work you've already done on the skeleton.
Damn, now I've got yet another vision in my head that I can't translate to reality. Wish I had your skills...

Well, Spirit and Skew, like me, seem not to be able to overcome the obvious, coherence is given by the skeleton of a flying animal going inside the skin... That's the challenge for you, Underfoot, to overcome the conventional to create art.
