Mounting surround speaker. Need Help!
Hey all
I have just setup my new pioneer amp/receiver and wanted to mount my rears to the side of my lounge. I have 2 questions should i mount then at ear level (which looks a little odd) or up in the corners? Second how does everyone mount their speakers? I bought some swivel mounts but don't have and wall studs in the locations i want. How do you guys work around this? Thank you so much

If your rears are not too heavy you will be able to get fixings from a hardware store for the swivels, and there should not be too much excursion or vibration to worry about.
The rear speakers are only background noise pretty much so dont worry too much about height. Unless you are doing some fancy THX cert installation you will be happy with it, my rear speakers (full Yamaha system) are mounted just below ceiling tilted down a bit.
Cheers.

Agree, rear speakers are just a bit more than tweeters and you should not really be aware of them when on
